Now a five years old startup guy

Disclaimer: This is the first time, I’ve used I these many times! Save your 2 mins, don’t scroll if you’re looking for We and scroll if you’re looking to be We!

I joined WorkBoard in Dec 16th, 2014 as my first startup, and today Dec 16th, 2019,

> I completed 5 years!

And it’s my first, ‘5 years’ in any company.

> Yes, I have not been to any company this longer. I’ve seen after spending 2.5 years in a company, the job gets monotonous(totally personal opinion, and depends where you’re!), same challenges, same copy-paste your own code/logic and you have to go to the office every day because you have to, rather you want to go. It’s too difficult to continue as it stops challenging you.

Here, at WorkBoard, the startup challenges me every day —

> With the different set of challenges and learning opportunities, it reminds me daily, you can still do better than this, it’s not the end product yet! I have been very fortunate to be in a company where I have been given the opportunities to contribute to the diverse areas, technologies, and increasing trust with every project that it’ll be done. I grew up in my career as the company grew and going strong as we are growing.

As a five years’ looking back, I gathered, I’ve contributed to 39 major releases, 5 years’ weekly releases, and the following stats —

Contribution to 199 branches with —

> 14621 commits

> 4005499 additions

> 6 languages & 8 frameworks & platforms

> 17 new technologies

> 11 SaaS platforms

And from seven daily colleagues in 2014 to increasing several colleagues daily from front-end, visualization, back-end, platform, infrastructure, data, API, integrations, AI to people/Director, I loved and cherished every moment!

It all happened in these five years —

> It has been breathless run with numerous victorious moments, and obviously a few hard days, it wasn’t a perfect run, but it is a perfect place, that I’d imagine going 10 years back.

I’m extremely fortunate to work and interact with one of the best minds from different domains on daily basis, and with them, the five years looks like a celebratory milestone. For these years, I’ve been capturing these beautiful moments from a place that gets better every day —
